Dell U2414H Monitor |
I am very satisfied with the picture quality of the monitor
a flaw I noticed:
the monitor buttons are not illuminated and therefore hardto find / to use.
a coarser error:
the mini-DisplayPort connector does not work satisfactorily:
The screen is not always recognized in the correctresolution. He is often recognized only with 640x480px, which you can then evennot even change the resolution, because it will be displayed as"Integrated Monitor" in the Control Panel. Also, he is sometimes notrecognized, and the screen only shows the message "Entering Power savingmode", although both (Monitor & PC) connected and active. The DellDisplay Manager does not recognize the monitor in both cases, then as amonitor.
This problem can be a disconnect of the screen and evt. Evenjust pulling the power plug when the screen (and then plug it back in), toresolve the whole.
Even though my laptop is fetched from the stand-by, it neverrecognizes the monitor. I have him always from then - and turn up, so hemitkriegt that he again may show what / want, even though the monitor was onlyin "Power saving mode".
On the laptop itself, it can not be, because I've tried itwith multiple devices.
Both of these problems can also occur after a standby, whichis quite strenuous, because then after every standby have to waste 5 minutesfor the first time that the monitor displays everything correctly (as before)displays.
the problem seems the U2414H default or occur frequently, even magazines, it is noticed during reviews:
For this reason, 1 star deduction because, although you canchange over to the other ports, but if the monitor supports DisplayPorttheoretically, then this should also work flawlessly with it.
I imagined the Dell monitor is not so good. He erfülllt myneeds of a monitor very well.
A flaw in the operation of the menu buttons I have to doyet. There is nowhere in the accompanying instructions,
the one the monitor on each cable to the PC (video card)must be set via the menu. Because my previous monitors
who made automatically. If you even know it, it is nolonger a problem.
But now I am even more satisfied. It should only be a tip ofthe Hesteller.
Thank you
